Ways to Winterize Your Home
Now that the cold season is here, we need to think about how to protect our home, keep warm and cozy as well as saving on the electric bill. It may seem like a lot of work ahead but it is well worth it! You can use a simple check list to make sure you don't miss a thing.
Things such as :
Protecting your pipes: protect your pipes from bursting this winter using tubular pipe wrap, rolled pipe wrap and insulation fittings.
Blocking cold air from your windows: swap out the lightweight summer curtains with thermal lined curtains or drapes. They’ll help keep your home warm and lower your heating bill.
Lowering your thermostat: Lower the thermostat a few degrees while you're away or sleeping.
Weather stripping your doors: Weather stripping or installing storm doors and windows will prevent cold air from entering your home or heat from escaping it.
These are just a few ways to winterize your home.
