Believe it or not, in the state of Texas is not required to have a license to put a roof on. However, there is a licensing program called AKA the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. They provide testing and training to ensure that if you go through their licensing program, you're qualified to do the job. So remember, next time you're talking to a contractor about getting your roof replaced. Ask them, are you licensed? And ask for a website to reference it.
